- Accumulator (Acca)
- a single bet that groups several selections; all must win for the bet to pay out, with odds multiplied together.
- American Odds
- odds shown as a positive or negative number, indicating how much you win on a $100 bet or how much you need to bet to win $100.
- Arbitrage Betting
- placing bets on every possible outcome across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit no matter who wins.
- Banker
- a strongly favored pick used as a key part of a multi-bet to boost the odds.
- Bankroll Management
- the habit of setting aside a set amount of money for betting and using a consistent stake size.
- Bookmaker
- a company or person that sets the odds and accepts bets.
- Cash Out
- a feature that lets you settle a bet before the match ends, securing a profit or limiting a loss.
- Closing Line
- the final odds offered just before an event starts, often used to gauge how skilled a bettor is.
- Decimal Odds
- a way to express odds as a single number, where the total payout equals the stake multiplied by the decimal.
- Fractional Odds
- odds expressed as a fraction, showing the profit relative to the stake, for example 5/1 means $5 profit for each $1 wagered.
- Futures Bet
- a bet placed on the outcome of a tournament or season, such as which team will win the World Cup.
- Hedge Bet
- placing a bet on the opposite outcome after an original bet to lock in a profit or reduce a loss.
- In-Play Betting
- placing a bet on a match while the game is already underway, with odds that shift as the action progresses.
- Juice (Vig)
- the fee charged by the bookmaker for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
- KYC (Know Your Customer)
- the process of checking a bettor’s identity to stop fraud, underage gambling, and money laundering.
- Line Movement
- the shift in odds or point spread over time as more bets are placed or new information appears.
- Moneyline
- a bet on which team will win the match outright, without any point spread.
- Over/Under

- Parlay
